Happy Thanksgiving, Let Me Pat You Down

Backround:
On November 24th 2010, Bill O'Reilly, an author, syndicated columnists, political commentator, and television host of The O'Reilly Factor on the FOX news channel, argues that Obama's approval ratings has dropped due to the airport security rules and that the TSA should change them from universal searches to random searches.
Here is the argument from Bill O'Reilly:
This argument can be paraphrased as follows:
(1.) Obama's approval rates have dropped below 40% with no doubt the the airport security mess is the reason
(2.) Liberals don't really want body scanners but on board to defend President Obama
(3.) Not one terrorist has been apprehended inside a United States airport since airport security systems have been installed since 9/11
(4.) Body scanners are an intrusion to one's privacy
Conclusion:
The solution to the problem is random selection. Put some passengers through the boby scanners but not everyone to make it more efficient.
This article contained a few arguments on this particular topic, however, i chose to focus on the statement about

Not one terrorist been apprehended inside a United States airport since security systems have been installed since 9/11, Not one.

Although there has not yet been any terrorists apprehended does not support the fact that the system is inefficient or a waste of time. O'Reilly also draws his own conclusion stating that:
TSA should enforce random searches, and get rid of the universal intrusion.
In my opinon Bill O'Reilly has committed the fallacy of Appeal to Ignorance.
This argument is in critical condition because Bill O'Reilly failed to provide any strong legit reasons why the TSA should not use body scanners and how they were inefficient.
